12,630 new cases of coronavirus in Ukraine over 24 hours

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors detected 12,630 new cases of infection with Covid-19. Maksym Stepanov, the Healthcare Minister reported that on his Facebook page.

The overall number of cases observed in this country since the beginning of pandemic made 944,381. 561,222 patients recovered (+12,866 per day); 16,256 deceased (+260 per day).

The highest incidence was confirmed in Kyiv (1,658), Zaporizhya region (1,022), Odesa region (925), Kyiv region (922), and Cherkasy region (583).

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal claimed that the government already developed the national plan of vaccination from coronavirus. It is supposed to be approved within the week.

Ukrainian ambassadors should see to it that Ukraine receives first batches of vaccine from Covid-19 in January. President Volodymyr Zelensky said so during this speech at the vide conference of leaders of foreign diplomatic offices of Ukraine, says press department of the presidential office. 

"Currently, it is crucial to provide Ukraine with licensed anti-coronavirus vaccine, and, most importantly, it should be of high quality. The state leadership, diplomatic corps, workers of Ukrainian special services are now working on it. This is the path that all countries are walking; and this is what we should be doing, too", the president said. 

According to the head of the state, this taks is in the hands of Ukrainian ambassadors in the US, UK, European countries and Ukraine's representative in the EU.
