1,213 new cases of coronavirus infection observed in Kyiv as City Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

“The virus does not back down. The number of new cases in the capital continues to grow. During the past 24 hours, 1,213 infected in Kyiv. 23 people died. Totally, the coronavirus took the lives of 1,013 Kyiv citizens. There are 53,855 confirmed Covid-19 cases,” Klitschko reported.

Thus, 673 women at the age of 18 up to 94, 51 girls at the age of 25 days up to 17 are infected. Besides, 451 men at the age of 18 up to 89 and 38 boys at the age of two months up to 17 are infected. Besides, 39 medics got infected. 94 patients were hospitalized.

“The majority of the cases were observed in Shevchenkivsky district – 169, Podilsky – 160, Desnyansky district – 137,” the mayor added.

430 people recovered in 24 hours. Totally, 19,556 Kyiv citizens got through the illness.

As we reported, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian medics confirmed 12,496 new cases of infection with coronavirus. The number of newly infected includes 535 children and 529 doctors. 570,153 people got infected in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic. 259,079 recovered (+8,096 over 24 hours), 10,112 passed away (+256).
