12,000 citizens crossed the state border of Ukraine on Tuesday, May 5. Two of them appeared to have signs of Covid-19 infection. The State Border Guard of Ukraine reported that on May 6.  

"Among those who entered Ukraine, there were two of our compatriots whose test results for Covid-19 proved positive, as the express test was performed by the medical service workers. People were brought for observation at an infection hospital in Lviv," the authority said.

As of May 6, the overall number of Covid-19 patients in Ukraine made 13,184. On May 5, 487 new cases were observed, Healthcare Ministry reports.

327 lethal cases have been observed since the epidemic reached Ukraine. 2,097 patients recovered. Chernivtsi region (1,985 cases), Kyiv (1,651), Ternopil region (935) and Ivano-Frankisk region (1,037) come first in terms of the morbidity rate.

Earlier, the Council of the European Union made the decision to provide Ukraine with 1.2 billion Euros for overcoming the economic and social consequences of coronavirus
