120 Ukrainian settlements left without power due to poor weather

Strong wind tumbled at least 35 trees, destroying the power lines

As a result of bad weather, 120 settlements were de-energized in Ukraine. This was reported by the State Emergency Service press office.

The blackout occurred in six regions: in Kyiv - 51, Chernihiv - 32, Sumy - 26, Zhytomyr - 16, Donetsk region - 3, Volyn - 1.

Because of a strong wind, 35 trees fell in Mykolaiv. According to the local rescuers, there are no casualties.

"State Emergency Service units carried out 14 trips to remove fallen trees and provide assistance to the city's municipal services. 52 personnel and 14 units of equipment were involved," the report said.

As previously reported, in Ukraine, 205 settlements remained without electricity. Due to the storms, the power lines were cut off. A person died and the child suffered from the electric shock (the child was hospitalized).
 
 
Earlier strong wind felled trees, billboards, and fences, as 112 Ukraine correspondent reported.

As a result of poor weather conditions, trees were felled in each Kyiv district. Trees fell on the roads and cars. One tree fell on the roadway in Svyatoshyn district and blocked one of the lanes. Drivers are stuck in traffic jams in Ukraine’s capital.

According to the correspondent, the wind has damaged the power lines.
