118 new Covid-19 cases registered in Kyiv

In Kyiv, 118 cases of infection with coronavirus were registered during the past 24 hours as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

Thus, 61 women at the age of 19 up to 93, 48 men at the age of 18 up to 84, four girls at the age of one up to six and five boys at the age of six up to 14 are infected.

17 patients were hospitalized; while others stay in self-isolation under control of the doctors. The majority of the cases were observed in Dniprovsky district (24); Svyatoshynsky district (17) and Darnytsia district (16).

As for today, 5,990 Covid-19 cases registered in Kyiv.

Klitschko added that 464 children got infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while 183 infected during the past four weeks.

“21 young patients stay in hospitals today. The youngest one was a few days old at the moment of the detection of the disease. Mostly, children at the age of five up to 15 get infected,” Klitschko stated.

As of early July 10, 52,043 cases of Covid-19 were observed in Ukraine. The number of newly observed cases made 819. Maksym Stepanov, the Healthcare Minister of Ukraine said so during the briefing in Kyiv on July 10.

Since the epidemic reached Ukraine, 1,345 people deceased from coronavirus in Ukraine. 18 of these passed away over the last 24 hours. 24,800 people recovered since the beginning of the pandemic; that's 1,016 people per day - actually, the record number.
