As of July 8, 5,779 cases of infection with coronavirus were observed in Kyiv. During the past 24 hours, 114 Covid-19 cases were registered as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.
“If during the last few days the number of people infected with coronavirus decreased in the capital then in the past 24 hours, the new outbreak occurs. 114 people were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. Five medics are among them. Today, 5,779 confirmed cases of Covid-19 observed in Kyiv,” the mayor reported.
52 people recovered during the past 24 hours. Totally, 1,900 Kyiv citizens overcame the virus; 119 people died.
Earlier, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated that only 35% of cases of coronavirus infection were observed in Ukraine, so the number of infected people could reach 150,000.
As of early July 8, 50,414 Ukrainians got infected with Covid-19. 807 new cases were recorded across the country over the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of pandemic in Ukraine, 1,306 people deceased from the consequences of the disease (+23 over the last 24 hours). 23,119 patients recovered (+926).
