"The total number of people who have been tested for coronavirus is 11,146. One patient may be tested multiple times. First, to confirm the diagnosis and then - to confirm that the person has recovered," he said.
Ukraine’s Minister of Health also stated that two tests should be performed after a certain period of time in order to confirm that a patient had successfully recovered.
"We have been conducting more PCR tests for coronavirus. On average, we do 2.5 thousand to 3 thousand tests per day. In addition, we are testing all patients with lung inflammation without any exception," Stepanov noted.
As we reported earlier, according to Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, 24 Ukrainian citizens have recovered from COVID-19 while staying abroad.
