Dear friends, Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you on the national holiday – the Dynasty Day, the day of the Royal Family of Belgium. As it's the 400th anniversary of the Manneken Pis landmark, I would like to use this occasion to present you a statue-fountain that I recently created myself. I called it the Chat Pis. My aim was to contribute to your democratic and cultural family, and also - to continue the tradition started by Jerome Duquesnoy Junior in 1619. My name is Kseniya Zbyshko, I am 11 years old, and I love drawing since childhood. Since the age of 8, I have been studying arts professionally: painting, graphics, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, etc. I am dreaming of studying at the Royal Academy of Arts. Two years ago I spent my birthday in the city of Antwerp. I was amazed with its beauty and the blend of past and present art, embodied in daily life. And it was on this day that I took part in the annual Lamber Montmartre Musee exhibition (June 25, 2017). With these impressions in mind, I proceeded to realization of my biggest dream. This is how the Chat Pis project was born. You already have the Petit Julien, the Jeanneke Pis, and the Chien Pis, and I think that the Chat Pis is what this family of the world culture masterpieces definitely lacks. I perceive Belgium as the heart of Europe, which is why the Cat should unite and inspire everybody with its charisma, independence and domesticity, tenderness and sharp protection, old wisdom of generations and modern creative communication, expressed in art. I will be very happy to know if you appreciate my present and if many children and adults get a chance to admire a cat of an 11-year-old girl who has fallen in love with the beauty of Belgium and is dreaming of studying at the Royal Academy of Arts. Sincerely yours, Kseniya Zbyshko
