Ukraine is getting prepared for the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic

As of July 29, 67,597 cases of infection with coronavirus were observed in Ukraine. 1,022 people were infected on July 28, the National Security and Defense Council reported.

1,650 people passed away due to the consequences of the disease, and 21 of those died over the last 24 hours. 37,394 (+650 per day) recovered from Covid-19, as repeated lab tests did not reveal signs of the virus in their bodies.

The largest number of new cases was observed in the Lviv region (149), Kyiv city (132), and Ivano-Frankivsk region (118).

Earlier, the WHO claimed that unlike the flu epidemic, the pandemic of coronavirus is not seasonal. 

WHO chairman Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said he would convene a special committee session because of the strengthening of the pandemic. The official said that over the last six weeks, the overall number of cases increased.
