In Crimea, 101 cases of COVID-19 disease have been laboratory-confirmed: 31 - in Sevastopol and 70 in other cities of the peninsula, Crimean Human Rights Group reports.

According to the group, the level of COVID-19 diagnosis in Crimea and Sevastopol remains low, so official figures for the number of new cases are not realistic.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reported that the authorities of occupied territories of Donbas and annexed Crimea concealed the real number of people infected with coronavirus and denied the presence of lethal cases.

“According to the present information, the official statistics of the occupants do not correspond to the reality; the level of the incidence is higher. Particularly, the lethal cases with clear symptoms of coronavirus were spotted in the territory of occupied Donbas territories in March. On April 4, a citizen died from coronavirus at Amvrosiivka hospital (territory of occupied Donbas; however, the fact is concealed; the medical documentation is confiscated,” the ministry reported.
