In 24 hours, 9,721 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine

Ukraine is getting prepared for the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic

Kyiv doctors detected 1,002 new cases of Covid-19 over the day, as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.

The number of newly infected includes 556 women (18-84 years old), 377 men (18-92), 34 girls (1-17), and 35 boys (1-17). 29 medics are among those who got infected over the last 24 hours.

59 patients were taken to the hospital. The others are on self-isolation under the supervision of doctors.

14 patients died. Totally, Covid-19 took lives of 841 Kyiv citizens. In 24 hours, 1,449 people recovered; while 15,218 citizens of Kyiv have overcome the disease since the pandemic began.

As of November 5, the daily number of those who recovered from coronavirus exceeded the number of newly infected people.

9,721 new cases have been confirmed on Thursday; 10,762 people recovered on that day.

440,188 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Ukraine since the pandemic began; 195,544 people recovered, and 8,125 passed away.

The Ukrainian Cabinet imposed new epidemic zoning in the country, which is to become active since midnight of November 9. Kyiv remains in the orange zone, while many regional capital cities are in the red zone.
