Ten receiving points for means of individual protection will be opened in Kyiv. The means will be disposed, as Chair of the permanent committee of Kyiv City Council on ecological policy Kostyantyn Yalovy stated.
He added that the disposal of the medical masks and gloves will start soon as they can become ‘garbage issues of the capital.’
“They do not assign much to plastic bags in environmental pollution. Moreover, they pose a threat of spreading bacteria and viruses. That is why throwing a mask in the trash or dumpster is not the solution of the issue,” Yalovy wrote.
He added that potentially infected masks, gloves, medical clothes, and other goods, which contacted with infected liquids should be packed hermetically, disinfected and passed to the enterprises. Such enterprises should have a special license and certified equipment for safe disposal.
As we reported, starting from April 16, at the entrances to Kyiv, the drivers and the passengers will pass the obligatory temperature screening.
