About 10,000 law enforcers will keep order during the New Year and Christmas holidays in Ukraine. Serhy Yarovy, the First Deputy of the Interior Minister of Ukraine claimed this as the press service of the Interior Ministry reported on Facebook.

‘More than 8,000 police officers and 1,000 soldiers of the Ukrainian National Guard will be involved in the work. The operational reserves of the military in the number of more than 4,000 people were created for the case of the aggravation of the situation’, he noted.

Winter holidays in Kyiv will be accompanied by the concerts and mass celebrations. The main places are Sofiiska and Mykhailivska Squares where the main Christmas tree is installed.  

As we reported the Christmas fair in Kyiv was officially opened in Sofiivska square on December 19th. Also, the main Christmas tree was lit on December 19.
