The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia called the US sanctions to be the annihilation of the perspectives of the relation normalization between the countries. The Deputy of the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov claimed this as TASS reported.
‘The things that take place do not stay within common sense. The authors and the sponsors of this draft law make a very serious step to the annihilation of the perspectives of the relation normalization with Russia’, Ryabkov said.
According to him, Moscow is not given away by emotion and it will continue to search the forms for the effective dialogue with the US. At the same time, ‘Moscow treats Washington as the threat and acts proceeding from this understanding’,
Ryabkov noted that ‘the passage of the draft law is the conscious choice of the enemies of Russia and the US who entirely called off all restraint and do not know how to keep their ardency’. Consequently, we will continue to treat today’s US. Washington is the source of the threat’, he said.
As he explained, Russia many times sent the signal about the possible response actions toward anti-Russian sanctions to the US.
The House of Representatives of the US Congress passed the new set of the sanction against Russia, Iran and North Korea on July 25. 388 members of the Congress voted in the affirmative and only 2 members voted against the draft law. It was submitted on July 13. Later, the Congress published the text of the document that was supported by both parties. The document will be submitted to the US Senate and the President of the USA Donald Trump would be obliged to sign it. These restrictive measures became the response to the Russian intervention in the US election campaign. As the mass media noted, the new sanctions against Moscow include the draft law on Iran to speed up the process of its passage.
