Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia claimed that the US roughly and blatantly deceived Russia during Euromaidan in 2014 as RIA News reported.

‘The American partners appealed to us and asked us to do everything, and I say almost literal request, to make Yanukovych not to employ the army to allow the opposition to free the squares, administrative buildings and proceeded to the fulfillment of the reached agreements on the normalization of the situation’, Russian president said.

According to Putin, Russia agreed and ‘the coup d’état took place in Ukraine in a day’.

‘They should call, do something or say a word at least. They should at least say – you know, there is such notion as the excessive act – we did not want this but the events moved in such way but we will do everything to return them in the legal framework. There was no word, conversely, there was the complete support of those who committed 'the coup d’état’, Putin claimed.
