Members of the delegation of the Russian Defense Ministry did not get the US visa for the participation in the Russian-Chinese military conference in the UN. Head of Chief Department for International Military Cooperation of Russian Defense Ministry Aleksandr Emelianov claimed this as RIA News reported.

The briefing on deployment of the global US NMD with the Russian and Chinese militaries in the UN took place on October 12.

According to Emelianov, the delegation of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces headed by First Deputy of Defense Minister General-Lieutenant Tretiak should take part in the briefing.

‘However, the Russian side of the delegation from the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, including General-Lieutenant Tretiak did not get the entry visa to the US’, Emelianov claimed.

The US Department of State refused to comment on the situation.

‘We cannot discuss the particular visa issues, including that the data about the visas are confidential due to the law on immigration and citizenship’, the department claimed.
