The Command of the Naval Forces of Ukraine reports the constant readiness of the Russian Federation to use forces in the waters of Black and Azov Seas. This was stated by Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa in a comment to Krym.Realii.

"Ships of the Black Sea Fleet are constantly in production areas, namely in gas production areas. Russian FSB ships are also in the area of Azov sea, and warships control navigation in the Kerch Strait. This shows that the Black and Azov Seas are their area of ​​influence. It also constantly demonstrates readiness to use their forces,” Neizhpapa noted.

He believes that the EU and US sanctions are not effective enough to persuade Russia to abandon its intentions.

As we reported earlier, according to Serhiy Nayev, the commander of the Joint Forces Operation, there are 32,500 Russian military servicemen stationed in the annexed Crimea.

"I would like to add that the ground force actually makes 11,500 people. It is about the entire line-up on the temporarily occupied position, which also includes the Navy, as well as forces and equipment of anti-aircraft defense. The actual ground forces comprise of two brigades and one battalion," Nayev said.
