Ukraine’s MFA  reacted to the facilitation of the process of issuance of Russian citizenship to the residents of Donbas. The representatives of the Ministry condemned Russia’s attempts to disrupt the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, as the press service of the body reported.

MFA informed that Russia was interfering Ukraine’s internal affairs which threatens security “of all the European continent”. The representatives of the Ministry are convinced Russia intends to continue the hybrid war against Ukraine.

Therefore, the establishment demands the aggressor state to cancel all the decision on Ukraine. The set of events aimed at protection of national security and rights of Ukrainians according to the international law and Ukrainian legislation will be discussed at the sitting of Ukraine’s National Defence and Security Council.

“We demand Russia to stop torpedoing peaceful efforts in the Normandy format and in Minsk process, and start implementing commitments taken,” the message reads.

Ukraine hopes that international partners will not recognize Russian passports and will enhance sanctions regime against Russia.
