Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has registered criminal proceedings regarding incitement of Ukrainian officers to commit treason by the Vice Admiral of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"Prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General have entered the information about the engagement of the Vice Admiral, Chief of Staff, First Deputy Commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in incitement of Ukrainian servicemen to commit treason to the Unified register of pre-trial investigations," the statement said.

According to the investigation, during March 2014, the official, being in Sevastopol, personally tried to persuade Ukrainian officers from the Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to join the enemy during the armed conflict by threatening the use of physical violence and weapons by servicemen of Russia's Armed Forces.

As we reported earlier, yesterday, on May 26, Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine notified suspicion to a person who incited ex-interpreter of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Stanislav Yezhov to commit the state treason.
