President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has received an invitation from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to participate in a summit on the coronavirus vaccine, Reuters reports.
However, according to Kremlin, no decision on participation has been made yet.
Global Vaccine Summit 2020 is expected to take place on June 4. The British government expects it to help mobilize resources needed to ensure the universal availability of the vaccine against the novel Covid-19.
It is worth noting that Johnson was infected with Covid-19. At some stage, his condition was getting worse, so he was hospitalized and sent to intensive care. On April 12, UK's PM left St Thomas' Hospital in central London.
As we reported earlier, on May 24, Russia reported a record number of COVID-19 deaths per a day. According to the data from the federal operational headquarters, 153 people succumbed to the disease over 24 hours.
The total number of Covid-19 victims has already exceeded 3,5 thousand people. Moscow, St. Petersburg and Dagestan hit top places in terms of morbidity.
