Over the past three years, the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation has initiated 209 criminal cases related to the Donbas conflict. In 72 cases, defendants are the servicemen of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to Aleksandr Bastrykin, the head of the Committee, currently, the agency looks into the ‘attacks on Russian diplomatic institutions in Ukraine’.
‘We managed to identify the persons who committed these crimes. Eight Ukrainian citizens were considered guilty and put on the international wanted list,’ he said.
Russia’s Investigation Committee also opened cases against Ukrainians, charged with ‘vindication of Nazism’.
