A 19-year-old teenager brought a weapon to the school in Kazan, Russia, and opened fire as Interfax reported.

“A student came, brought a weapon, wounded schoolmates; at least one student has no traces of life,” the message says.

Preliminary, it was reported that nine people died and four were hospitalized.

The employees of the FSB detained the shooter. The circumstances of the incident will be established.

Later, RIA News reported that the explosion occurred at the school after the shooting. The security measures were enhanced in all schools of the city.

President of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reported that seven children, four boys and three girls died as a result of the shooting. All of them are students of secondary school.

“We have lost seven children, four boys, and three girls; the students of the 8th grade. They died on the third floor of the school. 16 people, 12 children, and four adults stay in the hospital. The terrorist is arrested; he is 19 years old; he registered a weapon. Other associates are not defined yet; the investigation continues,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The families of deceased and victims will receive aid.

As a result of the shooting in Kazan school, the number of deceased grew up to 11 people; 32 people affected as RIA News reported. Two students crashed as they jumped from the window on the third floor.

As we reported, an incident with gunfire occurred in Kyiv's Holosiivsky district. According to the preliminary report, a group of individuals arrived on site, began to shoot in the air and then escaped. No casualties were reported.
