Russia makes Ukraine look like an enemy to Crimea; it is trying to keep residents of Crimea in fear by detaining and putting to jail common Ukrainian citizens. Yuriy Tandyt, the Counselor to Head of Ukraine’s Security Service, said this on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

‘It is obvious they are posing us as an enemy. Now they’re trying to frighten Crimeans – our compatriots – so as to show them a fearsome state. We understand Russia failed to do what they were trying to do in Crimea. There are certain difficulties there. So, they are now trying to creat the image of Ukraien as an enemy,’ Tandyt said.

He added that, judging by the views of PACE members and MEPs, Russian special services work quite efficiently; the Kremlin is eagerly trying to weaken the sanctions. ‘So we should speak the truth in these conditions; and that’s exactly what we’ve been doing,’ the official concluded.
