Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation views recent statements of Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasyl Bodnar about Russia's debt for the deployment of the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea as idleness.
In particular, such a position was voiced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, TASS reports.
"They do not know what to come up with anymore just so they do not have to deal with anything," Zakharova said.
She made this statement, commenting on the words of Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Bodnar in an interview with Ukrinform: he said that Russia was obliged to pay Ukraine 100 million dollars annually for the deployment of the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
"Yes, about 100 million dollars a year, but no payments have been made since 2014," Bodnar noted.
As we reported earlier, the adoption of amendments to Russia’s Constitution will make all bills related to the return of Crimea to Ukraine “unconstitutional”.
"This was written so that no one could seriously amend the legislation under which Crimea is transferred to Ukraine," Andrey Klishas, Russia's official, stated.
