Russia’s Federal Security Service reports on detention of one of subway explosion organizers

One of the organizers of terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg metro was detained in Moscow region. This was reported by the center of public relations of Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), according to Ria News.

It is informed that Abror Azimov, born in 1990, the national from Central Asia, was detained. He is one of the organizers of the investigated crime, committed in Saint Petersburg subway, according to FSB. Service claims that the man prepared suicide bomber.

Azimov was taken to Investigative Committee of Russia for the further investigative actions.

As it was reported, the tragedy occurred on April 3, at 2.40 p.m., as the train reached Sennaya Square metro station (blue line) in Saint Petersburg. The explosion claimed lives of fourteen people and injured another 51.

Russia’s Investigation Committee confirmed that the blast was carried out by Akbarzhon Dzhalilov, the Russian citizen of Kyrgyz origin.
