Due to Ukraine’s new sanctions against Russia, Dmitry Peskov, Russian President Press Secretary, expressed hope that inauguration of President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky will happen one day. He also reminded that sanctions against Russia were provoked by Ukrainian authorities, as Peskov said in a commentary for the journalists, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“In general we have to recall that previous decisions of the Russian side (on sanctions against Ukraine, - ed.) were provoked by the Ukrainian authorities,” Peskov said.
At the same time, he expressed hope that President-elect Zelensky will take office.
“We hope that when the inauguration of the new president (of Ukraine, - ed.) will happen – sooner or later,” the Press Secretary of Russian President said.
As it was reported, Ukraine’s Government imposed new sanctions against Russia. New goods were added to the list of banned Russian goods. Duties on all Russian goods were imposed.
Earlier, Russian Federation placed a ban for export of petroleum and petroleum products, including coal, petroleum, and petroleum products to Ukraine.
