Russian PM orders to create gambling zone in annexed Crimea

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev ordered to create the gambling zone Zolotoy Bereg (Golden coast) with the legal gaming industry in annexed Yalta, Crimea as the legal information portal of Russia reported.

According to the order, the square of the gambling zone will make 147.000 square meters.

Earlier Russian mass media reported that the gambling zone will be situated near Katseveli but outside the settlement. In 2018, Dmitry Medvedev liquidated the first gambling zone in Russia, which was situated in Krasnodar Oblast.

The gaming industry is banned for ten years in Ukraine since 2009.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that gambling would become legal in Ukraine.

According to the head of the state, the games of luck will be legalized in five-star hotels. According to him, it will become an impetus for the development of the tourist sector by the Black Sea coast.

As we reported, Volodymyr Zelensky ordered the Cabinet of Ministers to develop and submit the bills on the legalization of the gambling business and amber-mining to the Verkhovna Rada.
