According to the army representative, the plane “failed to land”. As a result, 40 people were injured and eight soldiers sustained serious wounds.

“Russian pilots come to Congo for work - not officially, but as private citizens, and not all of them are placed on the consular register. Therefore, we don’t know how many of them work for local companies, and we often find out about such incidents from the representatives of these companies,” the Russian Ambassador to the DRC stated.
