Dmitriy Petrovsky, the lawmaker from the municipality of Yaroslavl, Russia, stamped on his iPad, reacting to the U.S.-imposed sanctions.

'Did you stamp on your iPhone? Or iPad?', he wrote.

Previously, Washington announced sanctions against 24 Russian businessmen and high-rank officials, as well as a number of companies. The U.S. Department of the Treasury explained that the measures were taken due to the respective law (CAATSA), approved by President Donald Trump in August 2017.

The targeted Russian businessmen suffered huge economic losses due to the implementation of sanctions; on April 9, the media reported that the overall damage made roughly 12 billion U.S. dollars
