A photo of bomb discovered at Vosstaniya Square station in St. Petersburg metro was published by Russian channel REN TV.

Representatives of National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) informed that explosive device was defused at Vosstaniya Square metro station in Saint Petersburg, it was disguised as fire extinguisher.

As Interfax reports referring to the source in law enforcement bodies, the power of defused bomb totaled about 1 kilo of equivalent yield.

It is noted that the device also had damaging parts.

As it was reported earlier, explosion occurred at Sennaya Square station in Saint Petersburg at 3:30 p.m. Death toll reaches 10 people, about 20 got injured. All stations in the city were closed after the incident.

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed metro explosions with FSB leadership, saying that all versions are being considered at the moment.
