Journalist from Russian Channel One Anna Kurbatova has been deported from Ukraine with a three year ban from entering the country, as press secretary of Ukraine’s Security Service Olena Hitlianska informed on Facebook.
“Russian propagandist Anna Kurbatova, against whom the decision of deportation from Ukraine was taken, has already crossed the Ukraine-Russia border, She is banned from entering the country for three years,” the message says.
Hitlianska added that the decision has been reached sue to Kurbatova’s activity, that hindered the public interests of Ukraine.
In her last stories, Kurbatova claimed that Ukraine is trying to keep up appearance of a progressive European country, while in fact infringing the freedom of speech.
The journalist used the example of deporting two Spanish journalists, who, according to her, “covered the Donas conflict from both sides”. In fact, they shared misinformation about the Ukrainian Army actions, including spreading lies about the bombarding of Pervomaisk and flooding of the mines in Donbas.
As it was reported ealrier, Russia's Channel One claimed their journalist had been abducted in Kyiv. Later on, Ukraine's Security Service informed that the journalist is to be deported from the country.
