Russian Investigation Committee opens three cases against Ukrainian military

The Russian Investigation Committee initiated three more criminal proceedings against the Ukrainian military servicemen, as the press office of the service reports.

The Ukrainian army was accused of attacking at the civil objects and damaging the infrastructure on the occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

“The Central Investigation Administration of the Russian Investigation Committee determined additional evidence of the Ukrainian military conducting artillery attacks at the populated areas of self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as a result of which civilians get injured. Therefore, three more criminal proceedings were opened into an offence under the article of the Russian Criminal Code on using banned means and methods of conducting a war,” the Investigative Committee reports.

The message says that the Ukrainian military servicemen were allegedly firing at Olenivka near Dokuchaievsk and Syhnalne not far from Donetsk. As a result of this, two local residents in 1953 and 1962 were wounded.

In addition, charges are pressed concerning damaging or destruction of more than 150 civilian objects, including the areas with gas pipelines in Donetsk, Horlivka and Dokuchaievsk.

“For now, an investigation is underway. It is aimed at defining the officials among the Ukrainian military servicemen involved in the commission of these crimes,” the representatives of the Investigation Committee inform.

Earlier, the Russian Investigation Committee reported that several criminal proceedings against the Ukrainian military servicemen were opened. They were accused of allegedly attacking the civilians in Donbas.
