Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Harry Koren, the Israeli Ambassador, due to the crash of Russian IL-20 in Syria, as the representative of the Ministry said, TASS reports.
The representatives of the Ministry want to discuss the situation related to the aircraft shot down in Syria.
“Due to the current situation, Harry Koren, the Israeli Ambassador, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry,” the Ministry informs.
Earlier several airstrikes were launched at Syrian port Lattakia. Russian Defence Ministry informed that IL-20 with 14 military servicemen got lost. It supposed to have been back at the Russian base Humaimam, Syria.
Reportedly, as a result of Russia’s airstrikes at Syrian province Idlib 13 people died. Later, Russia claimed to be continuing bombardments in Idlib, “if necessary”.
