The Russian Embassy in Damascus, Syria was subjected to mortar fire on February 2 and 3. This was stated by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The fire was conducted precisely from Jobar district.
One of the mines exploded on the territory of the embassy complex between the office and residential buildings, and the other - 20 meters from the main entrance to the embassy. There were no casualties, but the material damage.
"Russia's fundamental line of action aimed at a decisive and uncompromising struggle against the terrorists in Syria will continue," said the Russian Embassy.
Moscow also hopes that the international community "will react properly to the dangerous provocations of terrorists."
