Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic was profiting from the lease of hundreds of apartments in Prague, provided by the Czech Government for Russian diplomats, as Denik N reported.

The apartments belonged to the Czech Republic and were provided to the Russian Embassy for its diplomats for an indefinite period of time before the Communism collapsed in 1989.

According to the news agency, apartments are leased without any contracts. Lease payments are made in cash directly to the Russian Embassy.

The news agency informs that such actions violate Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
