One of the Russian defense ministry’s workers attached a video game screenshot to authority’s report – by mistake; TASS reported this referring to the statement released by the Ministry, as the authority commented on this incident, which involved a civilian employee.

‘The Ministry investigates the activity of civilian worker, employed by one of the subdivisions, who mistakenly attached photo materials to the military authority’s statement on the cooperation of the ISIS and the U.S-led international coalition near Abu-Kamal, Syria,’ the commentary says.

Russia continues to insist that the U.S. continues to support and cover combat-ready units of the Islamic State. ‘It is an objective fact, which was put on record that the U.S. command refused to attack the retreating ISIS convoys, as they withdrew from Abu-Kamal. Thus, the U.S. is well aware of this particular episode – just like the countermeasures of U.S. aircraft, which prevented the Russian Air Force from eliminating ISIS terrorists, as they regrouped and prepared for new attacks on government troops in the area of Abu-Kamal,’ the Russian defense ministry said.

Earlier today, Russian defense ministry released a number of black and white photos, crediting them as ‘irresistible proof of the U.S. support of ISIS combat-ready units, used for the pursuit of American interests in the Middle East’.  However, social network users pointed out that the photos are actually the screenshots from a video game. Later, Conflict Intelligence Team added that other photos from the same tweet by Russian defense ministry appeared to be the screenshots made by Iraqi Air Force in Falluja in 2016. Later, the illustrations disappeared from Russian defense ministry's Twitter accounts.
