Russia has withdrawn the last of its forces from Belarus, which it sent there during military exercises West 2017. According to the official website of the drills, the last echelon with armored vehicles and manpower headed from railway station in Borisov back to their permanent location sites in Russia.   

The joint Russian-Belarusian drills West-2017 took place in Belarus from September 14 through 20. Besides, during the last day of the exercise, Russia held large-scale shooting drills in the occupied Crimea. Oleksandr Turchynov, Ukraine’s secretary of the National Security and Defense Council said that Russia 'imitated a nuclear strike during the drills'.
