“Russian Navy has held the testing of Zircon hypersonic cruise missile from submarine Severodvinsk for the first time ever. The attack took place at the hypothetical marine target in the waters of the Barents Sea,” the message says.
The ministry reported that according to the date of the objective control, the flight of the missile met the set parameters; it hit the hypothetical target. The trials were considered as successful.
As we reported, Ships of Russia's Black Sea fleet entered the open waters to hold the missile and artillery exercises on September 20. Approximately 20 surface vessels and support ships participated in the drills.
