Yesterday, on May 24, a record number of Covid-19 deaths (153) was recorded in Russia. This was reported by RBC, citing data from the federal operational headquarters.

It was noted that the previous anti-mortality record had been recorded the day before, on May 22 – 150 people died of complications.

The total number of Covid-19 victims exceeded 3,5 thousand people. Almost 2,000 deaths occur in Moscow, another 329 - in Moscow region. The third place in the number of deaths is occupied by St. Petersburg, where 133 patients died, and the fourth - by Dagestan (84 people).

As we reported earlier, U.S White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien compared China’s response to the coronavirus outbreak to the response of the Soviet Union to the catastrophe at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (1986).
