Russia opens another criminal investigations due to attacks in Donbas

The Investigative Committee of Russia opened another four criminal proceedings against the Ukrainian militaries due to 'artillery attacks of the civilians in Donbas'. ITAR-TASS reported this citing the department.

Russia traditionally incriminates the Ukrainian militaries the part 1, article 356 (Use of the banned assets and methods of war) of the Criminal Code of Russia.

The militaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard are accused of the attack of the settlements and civilian objects in Trudivske village and Donetsk on September 15-18. According to the Russian Investigative Committee, four civilians were wounded in the result of these attacks.

The Investigative Committee of Russia claimed of the opening of 20 criminal proceedings against the military governance of Ukraine, particularly Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and Head of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko on September 11. Also, the criminal proceedings were opened against 18 officials of the Defense Ministry. The committee confirms that they are involved in the crimes against Russian-speaking citizens of Donbas. Head of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko called the opening of the criminal proceedings brain-washing.
