Russia’s Investigation Committee opened another criminal case against the Ukrainian military servicemen for the combat actions in Donetsk region. The body attributes “shooting at the objects of the civil infrastructure” to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the website of the committee reported.
A criminal case was opened on the article of the Russian Criminal Code on “Harsh treatment towards the civilians and the use of means banned by Russia’s international treaty in the armed conflict”.
“On December 13, 2018 while implementing the orders of the unidentified high-level officials, the servicemen of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine conducted an adjusted artillery attack from heavy weapons at the objects of the civil infrastructure located in Donetsk. As a result, a civilian born in 1991 sustained injuries,” the message says.
Besides, Russia’s Investigation Committee accused the Ukrainian military of “violating the protocol of ceasefire”.
It should be noted that over a couple of years, the Russian Authorityhas opened criminal cases allegedly on the “crimes” committed on the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Office counted that there were several dozens of such cases opened in Russia. For one, the Russian Investigation Committee accused Armed Forces of Ukraine of “conducting war against civilians”.
