The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Borisovich Karasin said that under no circumstance arranging of the international monitoring mission in the Kerch Strait is possible, - as TASS reports.
“Under no circumstances is it possible. We, as a kind gesture, offered such a one-time trip for experts, so they could report about this to their authorities. But, unfortunately, they decided that it was a bigger offer. We do not like that,” said Karasin.
He also added that the Russian President Vladimir Putin offered the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to arrange a one-time visit for experts.
“However, we absolutely disagree with the fact that it is regarded as the multilateral monitoring form, and yet including Ukraine, in other words, it is like thinking about a full-scale long term mission,” the Deputy Minister noted.
