Russia is ready to act as a mediator for settlement of the situation in Ukraine and the guarantor of possible agreements, if Kyiv will show the same willingness. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the end of his visit to Bishkek, reports "Interfax".
"What we can do - is to create the conditions for the negotiations and take part in it in the form of mediators and guarantors of the agreements reached", - Putin said.
"That's what we can, we want and will do if our partners in Kyiv wants it", - said Russian President. Everything else, he says, "can do only Ukrainian people and their representatives."
"We are ready to continue any contacts, as long as they lead to a positive result, the solution of the crisis that arose in Ukraine", - Putin said, answering a question about Moscow's readiness to resume talks with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and to negotiate in "Normandy format" .
Recall, Putin said that "Normandy" meeting will take place in the case of a "real issues" for the discussion.
