Russia plans to introduce new economic sanctions against Ukraine. The Russian government has already submitted a relevant bill to the State Duma. This was reported by TASS.

The state authorities consider expanding the list of restrictions that have been imposed on a number of individuals and companies. The changes provide for a ban on the receipt of funds by the paying agent and processing of cross-border payments if the recipient is included in the list of sanctions.

At the same time, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and other federal bodies will be required to provide the Ministry of Finance with reports on the activities of organizations that cooperate with persons included in the sanctions list.

As we reported earlier, the U.S. Senate has upheld the draft defense budget that includes sanctions against the Russian Federation.

86 senators voted 'yes', while 14 denied the bill.

The said restrictions concern companies and individuals involved in the construction of Nord Stream II.
