Russia has deployed about 87,000 troops to the region that is bordering with Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate for International Cooperation and Verification of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant-General Leonid Holopatiuk during an online meeting of the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum, Ukrinform reports.
"In total, the number of ground forces of Russia's Armed Forces deployed along the border of Ukraine is about 87,000 servicemen, up to 1,100 tanks, up to 2,600 armored combat vehicles, up to 1,100 artillery systems, up to 360 volley fire rocket systems and 18 tactical ballistic missile systems," Holopatiuk reported to the OSCE delegates.
The Ukrainian general noted that the Russian Federation continued increasing the number of troops along the state border of Ukraine.
It was also stated that three interspecies groups, which were capable of carrying out sudden offensive operations on the territory of Ukraine without announcing mobilization, had already been set up next to the border.
As we reported earlier, the batch of FGM-148E missiles, one of the latest modifications of the anti-tank missile complex Javelin, were supplied to Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
