Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the introduction of sanctions increased the risks of unilateral use of military force. According to him, the world's biggest players must "join their forces in fateful areas" during difficult moments. Putin made this statement at a forum in Davos.

He also criticized the use of trade barriers, sanctions, and other restrictions in "attempts to blame other countries for internal problems".

"Such games with no rules critically increase the risks of unilateral use of military force. That is the danger," the president said.
