The Russian Federation has closed the area in the Sea of Azov near Kerch Strait as Ukrainian military portal reported.
“According to the maritime regulation NAVAREA III 0184/2019, Russia has closed the area in the Sea of Azov near Kerch Strait to hold the firing practice on February 18-20, 2019,” the message said.
It is specified that the firing exercise will be held in the western part of the Temryuk Bay.
According to the agency, the radio technician drills on the way out of Kerch Strait to the Black Sea preceded the firing practice. They aimed to detect the coordinates of the lost radar targets by Koz-Aulks and Takilsk radio technical observation posts in the south part of Kerch Strait in the Black Sea.
These drills took place in the area, where the coast guard ships of the Russian Navy attacked the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in the Sea of Azov. Ukrainian ships were rejected passage via the Kerch Strait, Russian coast guards opened aimed fire on them.
As we reported militants of the terrorist group “DPR” (Donetsk People’s Republic) held the combat drills in the safety zone in Donbas.
