The Russian customs officers detained the citizen of Ukraine at the administrative boundary line with annexed Crimea. It is reported that he moved in the hijacked from Spain crossover Toyota Land Cruiser and attempted to entry the peninsula via the checkpoint near Dzhankoy. TASS reported this citing the press service of the Crimean customs service.

The car was left by the Ukrainian at the entrance to the checkpoint. There was defined that the car was put on the international wanted list by Spain in 2008.

Also it is reported that the owner of the crossover and his wife were astonished by the fact that their car on the wanted list. ‘According to them, they did not know anything about this and bought the car in Ukraine’, the press service reported.

The carrier vehicle was transferred to the police for holding of the investigation.
