The Russian side claims about the failure to set up the advisory board on Donbas issues and called on Berlin, Paris and Kyiv to end their "political games". The relevant statement was made by Russia's Foreign Ministry.
"During the telephone conversations, the assistants of the ‘Normandy’ leaders - Berlin and Paris, on various occasions, went from supporting the agreements between Kyiv and Donbas. Following this, at the meeting of the Contact Group on March 26, Kyiv also refused to comply with these agreements," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
In addition, Russia is convinced that the Ukrainian side has been pushing its decisions "not without a hint from the outside", and all the actions taken "outline the positive dynamics that have emerged." They also say that all these actions seem to be a "well-coordinated line."
"On March 30, a brief statement was made by the foreign ministers of Germany and France: with another batch of unfounded allegations of Donbas's alleged involvement in delaying negotiations, taking a non-constructive stance, etc.," they added.
As we reported earlier, the Foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stood against the restrictions of the work of the OSCE SMM in Donbas.
The ministers expressed concern toward restrictions of movement in the territory of self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics imposed on March 21.
