Ruslan Nagayev and Eldar Kantemirov were detained in Alushta, and Ruslan Mesutov was taken in in Maly Mayak. Chairman of local religious organization Lenur Khalilov was detained, too. The man was suspected in the alleged organization of Hizb ut-Tahrir cell in Alushta. According to the investigation, Kantemirov and Nagayev were the members of this cell.
Activist Ayder Jeparrov in Zuya village, Belgorod district and Riza Omerov in Belgorodka were detained. His father Enver Omerov was detained early in the morning on his way to Rostov on Don.
“Enver Omerov was heading to the trial over first Simferopol case on Hizb ut-Tahrir with his daughter Fatma Ismayilova, wife of the political prisoner Ayder Ismayilo. FSB officer reported that Omerov will be taken to the department of Russia’s Internal Ministry in Kerch, but then Ismayilova was told that they did not took her father. As of now, the location of Enver Osmanov remains unknown,” the message reads.
Besides, Russian security forces detained Eskender Suleymanov, brother of the political prisoner Ruslan Suleymanov, in Starohnativka near Simferopol. Ruslan Suleymanov was detained during mass raids on March 27, 2019. Sergiy Makhnev carried out the search, he heads the investigation group on the second Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir. During the search, Makhnev stated that Suleymanov’s case will be united with the criminal case of his brother.
Meanwhile, Russian Security Service informed that investigation are held within the criminal case under the article on 205.5 (organization or participation in the terrorist organization), it concerns the religious organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Earlier on May 10, another raids at the houses of Crimean Tatars were reported.
